The entrepreneur2.wikispaces.com space aims to collect all web based tools mainly free but also cost-effective that have been used by other entrepreneurs, start up owners, self-employed people and it is proved that these tools facilitate extensively the daily operation and further development of their business. The collected tools are a) web based, b) offered for free or with a low cost and c) are applicable at a european level.

The information contained per tool follows a specific template in order to ensure consistency, coherence and ease of access. The repository serves two purposes
  1. to allow any entrepreneur or startup owner to see which tools can be useful for advancing his business in 8 categories and
  2. anyone active in the business community (service provider, entrepreneur, startup owner, etc) to contribute and grow further this database based on their experiences and knowledge

1. How someone can use this online repository of Web 2.0 tools

The repository contains more than 100 tools that have been collected and added by experts and actual users in the area of technologies and developments. The collected tools are grouped into 15 different business activities/categories, i.e.:

Anyone interested can check the tools that exist under each category by inserting in the search text field the name in quotes "" of the specific category and then click on each one of the tools provided. The information that is collected can be found in the next section.

2. How someone can contribute and share new tools and knowledge

Anyone that is aware of a new tool first should check whether it exists and whether he or she wishes to revise/update the existing content or add information as a new tool based on the given template.

Three conditions should apply for a tool to be included

  1. It should be web based
  2. It should be offered for free or with a low cost so that is applicable for tight budgets
  3. It should be applicable to european entrepreneurs and start up owners

Getting Started

  • For editing an existing page with info on a specific Web 2.0 tool, click on the edit button above to put your own content on any page.
  • For adding info on a new Web 2.0 tool that hasn't been included, a) you need to login first - please use as username entrepreneur2 and password entrepreneur2 (the same in both), b) click on the '+' symbol next to "Pages and Files" for adding a new page that will contain info on the new tool, c) make sure that you use the provided template, d) make sure that you use any of the following tags below
  • Each tool page should be linked with some tags/catagories. The pre-defined categories are 1) email marketing, 2) web marketing, 3) Mentoring/advisory and support, 4) social media marketing, 5) financial management, 6) legal management and support, 7) online support, 8) Customer Relationship Management, 9) Business Intelligence, 10) Collaboration, 11) Productivity, 12) eLearning content on/for entrepreneurship, 13) Outsourcing platforms, 14) Funding, 15) Online Selling. An editor can add another one if they wish one of the tools that advance entrepreneurship cannot fit under any of the current categories/tags. Multiple tags/categories may be applicable for one tool
  • In any case, the editor should use structure below that will advance also the credibility of the provided information and it will be included automatically.
